Born in the top bunk
The foundation of Warhorse Logistics wasn’t laid in an office; it was built on the open road. For our founder, Jesse, trucking is a family legacy. It started in the top bunk of a K100 Aerodyne, watching the highway roll by, over the cab clearance markers and horns while riding with his uncle, Steve-o O’Connor. That early view of the world bred a lifelong love for the road—and a permanent respect for classic cabovers. With a father who spent his life behind the wheel running heavy wreckers and contract mail for the USPS, trucking wasn’t just a job category; it was a way of life.

Tempered by the Corps
In April of 2003, just weeks after the invasion of Iraq began, Jesse stepped up to serve, joining the United States Marine Corps at 17 years old. Assigned to logistics, he didn’t just learn how to move freight—he mastered tactical, high-stakes asset management. From rigging and lifting cargo with cranes and helicopters to securing massive movements by rail, sea, and plane, precision was the only acceptable standard.
In 2008, he was selected for a highly exclusive, advanced logistics operations course, deep-diving into the mechanics of load planning, risk management, transportation networks, and specialized software. He earned his CDL in 2009, and by the time he honorably transitioned out of the Marines in November 2013, he possessed a logistical foundation that few civilian drivers ever replicate.

Heavy Iron & True Experience
Entering the civilian sector, he paid his dues as a company driver. While the big-name carriers offered miles, it was the specialized, lesser-known outfits that truly sharpened his edge. Based out of Spokane WA, his first million miles were cut in the mountains of the pacific northwest, and icy roads of Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. He spent three years running heavy-haul maxi setups, routinely scaling out at over 100,000 to 130,000 pounds. He followed that with over two years hauling for a steel fabrication company, safely securing and transporting everything from raw steel to massive, completed oversize structures. He learned how to handle the freight other drivers backed away from.

The Birth of Warhorse
By 2025, after years on the road, a glaring issue became impossible to ignore. The industry had become a culture of the bare minimum. From corporate managers to indifferent loaders and clock-punching drivers, the pride was gone. The standard had become: load, deliver, get the signature, go home.
Unwilling to let his own name be dragged down by mediocrity, he decided it was time to build something better. He envisioned a company where you still shake hands with the customer of your customer. A company where doing the job right day in and day out isn’t treated as an inconvenience, but as the baseline standard.
On March 6th, 2025, Warhorse Logistics LLC was officially formed. and soon after in October was granted its authority for hire.
We don’t just haul freight; we execute a commitment. When you trust Warhorse with your Cargo, you are hiring a lifetime of trucking heritage, elite military precision, and a heavy-haul work ethic that treats every single load like our own name is riding on it.
Because it is.
